Piano VSTs plugins is a songwriter’s best friend. Also I don't believe there is a soundset for any of those. "Complete Classical Collection 2nd Edition", "Advanced Orchestra Extended EXS/Halion", and "Complete Classical Collection Bundle" are older libraries to the best of my knowledgeable - I'd stay away from those, not because they are not good (I really can't comment on that) but they do not run on the Play engine which is the proprietary engine / player home developed by Eastwest. Eastwest have sales all the time, eg through tomorrow 'Valentine sales'. It's pretty crazy but you can get some really good deals these days. The close mikes are nice to bring out solo instruments, eg woodwinds.Ī few years ago, when it was first released, Symphonic Orchestra sold for > $ 4,000.

Well, it depends on your budget - I have the Platinum Plus edition and that contains close microphones as well as 24 bit samples which provide for a more pristine audio quality (which is noticeable not so much with individual instruments but in larger scores). Vienna- (expensive!, requiring serious hardware, demos sound great)Īnything I'm overlooking? Anyone experienced with more than one of these? Steinberg Halion- (demos sound great, no contra-bassoon, no marimba?) GPO- (demos don't sound great, inexpensive) Miroslav- (demos don't sound great, inexpensive) I'm just looking for a better set of sounds that integrates very well with sibelius, and by default balance the instruments well (so a violin playing a middle c and a clarinet playing a middle c, both marked mp will sound at the same volume).Įastwest- (demos sound great, so many products=confusion, no solo muted brass sounds?)

I'm not looking for a perfectly polished commercial sound without tweaking attacks, sustains, etc., etc (because I know that's impossible).

Which sound libraries integrate the best with sib.6? So when you are working on a full symphonic score within sibelius, you can playback as you go, and instruments are well balanced without tweaking (and things like pizz., con sord., accent, play back just from the markings in the score). I'm looking at improving on the included sounds in sib.6 Re: Best virtual orchestra for sib.6 - Paolo Tramannoni, 08 Jan 09:40AMĪ year ago I posted a similar question, but things change fast so.
